The Honda City is a compact car which has been produced by the Japanese manufacturer Honda. The fifth generation Honda City was unveiled in Pakistan in September 2008. It is manufactured in number of locations including Turkey, Thailand, Pakistan and Brazil. Honda City's 5th Generation was launched on 31st January 2009 by Atlas Honda Cars Pakistan. The Honda City 5th Generation is a front engine front wheel drive subcompact sedan with outstanding features and specifications. The Honda City 2017 featured a brand new and more aggressive model design language compared to the previous City as well as new engines and interior panels, Honda Atlas launched a new 1.5 L engine in 2013 and then in 2014, it received a facelift in October which included a series of minor cosmetic changes. Then, again in 2017, it received another facelift in which immobilizer and few cosmetic changes were introduced.Honda City 2017 is available in 2 variants the Honda City i-VTEC and the Honda City Aspire. With its 2550 mm (100 in) wheelbase, the City had moved into the compact car size segment. Depending on market conditions, the City is available in a range of engine and specification levels. The range of four-cylinder engines include a 1.3 producing 73 kW (98 hp) at 6,000 rpm, a 1.5 engine putting out 120 PS (88 kW), which both are available in manual and automatic transmissions. Honda Atlas (Pakistan) resumed the production of Honda City on May 1, 2012 after it was halted due to supply chain disruption caused by massive flooding in Thailand. This resumption of production is marked by Honda as it comes with the range of facelifted Honda City under the banner of Honda City Aspire. In October, 2014 Honda Atlas launched the facelifted Honda City, with new features including new taillights, revamped chrome grille, blinkers on side mirrors, rear window brake light, keyless entry system and new bumpers. The interior also received some changes. The speedometer dials were changed from orange to blue optitron. The Honda City is produced in a number of locations around the world including India, Pakistan, Philippines and Thailand. The Honda City 2017 exterior features a unique and distinctive design language. The front end houses sleek narrow trapezium style side swept headlights, an angular grille and dual air intakes. The rear end houses the trapezium styled side swept headlights, a chrome trim piece running the length of the trunk lid and a large rear bumper. The facelifted versions of the feature a chrome angular grille at the front and a new set of taillights with rectangular inserts and a new larger rear bumper. The overall Honda City 2017 exterior stand out amongst its rivals especially in the local market. New Model Honda City 2017 interior compromises of black and silver plastic trim pieces before the facelift now it comes in beige color. The front and rear seats are covered in fabric. Standard features on the standard variant include air conditioning, power windows, power steering, power lock doors, 2-speaker stereo audio system, power windows, trip computer, cup holders and a tachometer. Features on the higher end Aspire variant includes alloy wheels, Satellite navigation as standard and front fog lights. Options include leather upholstery, satellite navigation and a 4-speaker stereo audio system. The overall Honda City 2017 interior offers a good level of comfort and noise insulation.
