Land Rover Range Rover Sport the SUV featured an updated design language and now based on the Range Rover chassis rather than the Land Rover Discovery chassis that underpinned the 1st Generation Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The 2nd Generation Land Rover Range Rover Sport was introduced in 2012. It is smaller, faster, cheaper and more compact than the standard Range Rover. The exterior of Land Rover Range Rover Sport sports the familiar Range Rover design language. The front end houses sleek narrow side swept Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, a small chrome trapezium styled grille and a large front bumper with rectangular fog lights. The rear end features a roof spoiler, sharp narrow side swept LED taillights, a standard automatic tailgate, a rear diffuser and quad exhaust tips. The SVR variant features a slightly more aggressive and sporty design language. The front end houses a larger front bumper with larger intakes, the rear end houses dual sport exhaust tips, a roof spoiler, a rear diffuser and a larger rear bumper. The interior compromises of aluminum trim pieces. The front, rear and optional 3rd row of seats are covered in cloth. Standard features on the SE include a 8-speaker 250-watt stereo speaker system, power windows, 2-zone climate control, automatic headlamps, tire pressure monitoring system, parking sensors, interior mood lighting, 8-way electric driver and 6-way electric passenger seats and an 8-inch multi-information display. Features on the higher end HSE and Autobiography variants include front and rear view cameras, leather upholstery, auto-dimming interior mirror, aluminum tread plates with Range Rover lettering, satellite navigation, a choice between a fixed panoramic roof or a sliding panoramic roof, a choice between Shadow Zebrano wood, dark gray oak wood and grand black wood trim paneling (standard carbon fiber trim on SVR) , 3rd row of seats, Wi-Fi hotspot, auto dimming exterior side mirrors, tire repair system, electronically deployable towbar, front center console cooler compartment, surround camera system, blind spot monitoring, soft close doors, wade sensing, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, a choice between 3 zone or 4 zone climate control, climate front and rear seats, a choice of 16 way, 18 way and 20 way electric front seats with memory and massage function, gesture tailgate, rear seat entertainment system with a choice of 8 inch or 10.2 inch dual rear screens, dual view technology 8.0 inch front touch screen, television, heads up display, a choice between a 19-speaker 825watt Meridian surround sound system or a 23 speaker 1700watt Meridian speaker system and a TFT virtual instrument panel.
