Porsche Macan is a front engine four wheel drive subcompact SUV. The Macan is the 2nd SUV model produced by Porsche, the Macan slides in below it's larger more premium brother the Cayenne. It was introduced in 2014. The Macan offers a more compact body size compared to the Cayenne and is also meant to be the sportier model among Porsches current SUV range. The Porsche Macan also shares a platform with various other cars in the Volkswagen Group range that includes the mid-range Audi Q5. The Porsche Macan is amongst the bestselling SUV's in the United States. Porsche Macan features a distinctive design language that is very similar to that seen on the Porsche Cayenne. The front end houses sleek angular upswept headlights, a large trapezium styled air intake flanked by two smaller trapezium styled air intakes, daytime running lights and standard circular fog lights. The rear end houses side swept tube designed taillights, a standard tailgate with a lip spoiler and a rear diffuser. Options include a choice between 3 standard rims and 6 optional extra rims, Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), LED Headlights and taillights, roof rails, trailer hitch, side skirts, stainless steel skid plate and sport tailpipes. The interior features the usual Porsche design language. The front and rear seats are covered in a choice of Agate grey, black or Luxor beige leather.
